Decota was contracted by WVDEP to design, permit, and manage the construction of a stream restoration project located within the Mill Creek Wildlife Management Area (WMA) in Cabell County, West Virginia. The project restored or established 12,616 linear feet of the main stem of Left Fork of Mill Creek, 1,154 linear feet of an unnamed tributary, and 3,584 linear feet of smaller unnamed tributaries of Left Fork Mill Creek. Together, these reaches form a sizable portion of the Mill Creek watershed.
Decota’s responsibilities included natural channel design, stream delineations, WV SWVM credit determinations, construction management, NPDES permitting, annual mitigation monitoring, and surveying. Shamrock Environmental Corporation was contracted to complete the construction phase of this project.
