Natural Channel Design

Decota has extensive knowledge in natural channel design techniques, specifically the Rosgen Geomorphic Channel Design method. These techniques are utilized in stream and wetland restoration projects for mitigation banks, private industry, and the WVDEP In-Lieu Fee Program. Decota employees, with certifications ranging from Rosgen Level 1 to Rosgen Level IV, are trained in all aspects of natural channel design concepts including, but not limited to: channel floodplain and morphology, hydrologic and hydraulic analyses, in-stream structures, habitats, vegetation, watershed conditions, and post-construction monitoring.
