Trout Stream Verification
During the 2019 trout stream verification period (July - September), Decota conducted presence/absence surveys for trout at 27 different locations of Unnamed Tributaries of the Buckhannon River in Randolph County, WV. This survey was conducted in order to fully document these tributaries as “Trout Stream” according to guidelines documented by the state of WV. During these surveys many native brook trout were located, documented, and released back into the ecosystem successfully.
