NPDES Inspections

Decota staff includes Certified Professionals in Erosion and Sediment Control (CPESC) and Qualified Stormwater Managers (QSM). Our experienced staff are certified to conduct the required NPDES site inspections for an ongoing project to maintain compliance. Additionally, our staff includes inspectors that are licensed and certified by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to operate Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) drones to capture aerial imagery or video.

Our NPDES inspection reports include an easy to follow index of each inspection. This index includes a page number, date, control name, control type, station, and the existing condition of each control inspected. Each inspection includes three photographs, detailed notes, and information about the specific control being inspected such as weather, coordinates, station, plan map sheet, and control type.

To facilitate accurate, consistent, and cost effective NPDES inspections, Decota has developed a proprietary mobile software application and database backend to enhance the inspection process. Our custom software ensures comparable data over time and between multiple inspectors. Similarly, our web based management system allows retrieval of any past inspection and the ability to view the change in condition of an entire site or an individual control over time.
